Daylight Saving Time or Summer Time
Daylight-saving time (DST), when in effect, is now included in the Purebhakti.com calendar. For those locations that observe it, notification of the time change is posted, (twice per year), one for the start and one for the end of daylight-saving changes. For example, the beginning of daylight saving time for America/Los_Angeles zone will be listed on a Sunday as follows:
+Local time offset change: from PST (UTC - 8) to PDT (UTC -7)
and the end of Daylight-saving for this time zone will be listed as:
+Local time offset change: from PDT (UTC - 7) to PST (UTC -8)
All break fast times will include daylight-savings if used, and indicate the time zone abberviations and the UTC (universal time coordinates) offset. The following is one examlpe:
Break fast 07:07 - 11:06 PDT (UTC - 7)
All visnu-tattva fast days are also highlighted along with the paran (break fast) times.
It is the desire of Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja that the calculations for the individual time zones around the world be followed.
